Neonatal Care

In the intensive care unit, babies are under the constant supervision of highly qualified personnel. Babies who require special attention, treatment or complex procedures and examinations are sent here. The intensive care and resuscitation unit have round-the-clock access to doctors of various profiles to provide comprehensive assistance to the baby.
Premature babies with low body weight need special care and conditions. We create conditions of stay as close as possible to intrauterine: temperature, humidity, sound, light – everything should be comfortable. Doctors of our clinic have extensive experience in nursing premature infants with low body weight. Around-the-clock medical staff provides comprehensive support to newborns and their mothers.

Comfort for the Mother and the Baby
In the neonatal centre, babies lie in special boxes as it is impossible to stay together with their mother. However, we always provide the possibility for mothers and children to spend time together as much as possible. The peace of mind of the mother, a comfortable stay next to the child and the maximum possible contact – this is what our doctors always insist on. Special rooms for parents are located next to the neonatal centre and they are equipped with everything you need. It is also possible for the mother to be near the child only during the daytime if for some reason it is impossible to be there around the clock.
Heart murmur

At Somerset Clinic, we specialize in diagnosing and treating heart murmurs with advanced technology and compassionate care. Our expert cardiologists ensure early detection and personalized treatment to protect your heart health.
Our Heart Murmur Clinic offers comprehensive assessments and customized care plans to address the root cause of murmurs. We’re committed to supporting your journey with precise diagnosis and ongoing heart monitoring.
What Causes a Heart Murmur?
An innocent heart murmur (also called a normal or physiological heart murmur) can be caused by blood flowing faster than usual, and is common during:
- Childhood
- Growth spurts
- Exercise
- Pregnancy
Symptoms of heart murmurs that may be a cause for concern include:
- Blue or gray nails or lips
- Chest pain
- Persistent cough
- Dizziness
- Swollen liver
- Shortness of breath
- Sudden weight gain or swelling
- Swollen neck veins
- Fainting
- Heavy sweating with little or no activity
- Poor appetite and lack of growth in babies
If you are worried about a heart murmur, it is important to see a doctor. Most heart murmurs are not serious, but the only way to know for sure if a heart murmur is benign is to have a heart assessment and an echocardiogram. We are here to help, make an appointment with us if you have any concerns.
